From the gorgeous Chocolate Hills to the one-of-a-kind tarsiers, here’s our guide to the perfect day in the City of Peace and Friendship.
City Guide
Head over to the Chocolate Hills where you can get an up-close-and-personal look at these Instagram-worthy natural beauties. There are at least 1,260 hills spread out over 20km² and the site has been named the Philippines’ third National Geological Monument.
There are few things more famous in Bohol than its tarsiers. Drop by the Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella for the chance to spot one of these creatures for yourself. Although largely nocturnal, there’s a good chance that if you’re patient enough, you’ll be rewarded with a glimpse of one of the smallest primates in the world.
End your day by enjoying a delicious dinner at Bohol Bee Farm, which serves up a virtuous, yet scrumptious, organic dining experience. Located on Panglao island, the kitchen here makes use of ingredients taken from the on-site farm. Enjoy picturesque views of the sunset as you tuck into your meal.
Hop on a restaurant cruise down the Loboc River to enjoy a delicious buffet spread while soaking up views of the serene waters. Cruises meander past lush forests, and last an hour.
